We started to think about our trip in February. We met regularly to organize our journey. First, we asked ourselves where we wanted to go. We proposed Malta, Croatia and Netherland but it wasn’t possible for this project. Therefore, we chose England. None of us had ever been to London, that’s why we decided to visit this city.

Then, we wanted to know how to go to the United Kingdom. We had a few ideas : by car, bus or plane. We couldn’t take a car obviously, because it was too hard to drive in England. The plane was a bit expensive, so we bought bus tickets on the website flixbus (from Orleans to London, via Paris).

Moreover, we had to find a place where we could sleep. We used the website “Airbnb” for our researches. At the beginning, we wanted to get a flat where we could live in the centre of London. Unfortunately, it was too expensive to stay a week in the districts near the Thames. We started to spread our researches further away. We found a shared-flat owned by a man called Capela in Thornton Heath (the South of London, about 25min from Victoria station). The fact that we were far away from the centre forced us to buy a travelcard : it was a travel card that allowed us unlimited travel. We ordered it as soon as possible to make sure we received it before we left.

We had to find a theme for our trip in London. We asked ourselves what topic we loved to work on. We thought about “melting pot in London”, but another group had already taken it. After a meeting with our tutor, we decided to work on the architecture in London.

Finally, we did a weekly schedule based on our project topic.
